Course Description

Objective: This course is specially designed for first semester students to enhance their intellectual exercise and communication skills.

It, it aims to expose students to a broad spectrum of exercises and worksheets that enable the students to use their creativity and imagination, with special emphasis on improving their competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The students will be exposed to other facets of the genre like, report writing, note taking, writing technical letters etc.



Methods: As this course is disciplined on one theory plus two hours lab, the lessons are also structured in such a way as to accommodate the practice classes along with theoretical learning of language. This is an opportunity to assess the students clearly and individual attention can be given to the students. From the teacher’s point of view the frequency to meet the students also increases which will definitely give them more chance to concentrate on those students whose communication competency is poor. For the students it will give them more time to practice language exercises.

Note: Language Lab employs multimedia teaching materials to enhance speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. This course also includes neuro-linguistic programming to develop language competency.
