AE 111 C Thermodynamics (August to December 2025)

Thermodynamics course is to elucidate the fundamental principles of thermodynamics applied to engineering systems. Study objectives include the description of basic thermodynamic properties, thermodynamic laws; elaboration of principles of entropy and exergy; development of thermodynamic relations, analysis of thermodynamic cycles, etc. The course will also helps to develop an instinctual understanding of thermodynamic principles by highlighting physics through the analysis of practical aerospace systems. Thermodynamic principles are dealt with emphasis on practical systems to reveal how they are being applied in real-life engineering applications.
